Affiliate program terms
Updated
Terms of the Taiga Finance affiliate program, operated by Taiga Finance LLC (“we,” “us”). Applying to or participating in the program constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Summary
- Commission — $20 per qualifying new subscriber, paid once.
- Attribution — first touch, 60-day cookie.
- Payment — PayPal; monthly on the 15th; $50 minimum.
- Hold — annual-plan commissions held 30 days; monthly-plan commissions paid after the third month; a commission not yet paid is reversed if the payment is refunded. Canceling a paid annual plan does not reverse it.
- Eligibility — 18 or older; acceptance at our discretion.
Commission
- The fee is $20 for each new customer who takes a qualifying paid plan through your link or code. A subscription qualifies when it is an annual plan, or a monthly plan continued into its third month.
- Paid once per customer. Not paid on renewals, upgrades, or resubscription, and not paid to more than one partner for the same customer.
- The $20 rate we commit to for your future referrals will not be cut.
Attribution
- Model: first touch, 60-day cookie. The first partner link a visitor follows is credited.
- Codes are the fallback where a link can’t be followed — for example a code spoken in a podcast or video. A valid partner code entered at checkout takes precedence over the cookie.
- A referral is credited only when it can be traced to your link or code; a visit with blocked or cleared cookies cannot be.
Reversals
- A commission not yet paid is reversed if the customer’s payment is fully refunded. Canceling does not: an annual customer who turns off renewal has still paid for the year, and a monthly plan canceled before its third month never qualified.
- An annual-plan commission is held 30 days before it becomes payable. A monthly-plan commission becomes payable when the third month is paid.
- A reversal after payment may be deducted from a later payment.
Payment
- Method: PayPal. Partners are responsible for keeping payout details current.
- Schedule: monthly, on the 15th, for every commission that has become payable by then.
- Minimum: $50. Balances below the minimum carry forward.
- Taxes are the partner’s responsibility. We ask US partners for a W-9 and report payments to the IRS as the law requires.
Eligibility and conduct
- Open to applicants 18 or older. Acceptance and removal are at our discretion.
- Partners may receive complimentary access to Taiga Finance for testing and demo purposes. It may be withdrawn at any time and ends with the partnership.
- The following are not allowed:
- Self-referral — referring your own subscription, or an account tied to you by name, email, payment method, or household.
- Fake or manipulated signups — accounts created to earn a commission rather than to use Taiga Finance, and any attempt to interfere with how referrals are tracked.
- Brand bidding — running paid-search ads on “Taiga Finance,” or close variants and misspellings. Paid search on non-brand or competitor terms is allowed.
- Coupon, cashback, and incentive sites — and unsolicited spam.
- Misrepresentation — false or misleading claims about what Taiga Finance does, costs, or is.
- Where we find a violation, we may end the partnership and reverse any related commissions.
Disclosure
- Partners must disclose the commission relationship clearly and conspicuously, as the FTC’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require under Section 5 of the FTC Act.
- We monitor for disclosure and may remove partners who do not comply.
Changes and termination
- These terms may change; the date above reflects the last revision. Active partners are notified of material changes, such as to the fee or how referrals are credited, before they take effect.
- Either party may end participation at any time. Earned, un-reversed commissions remain payable, except where removal is for fraud or breach of these terms.
