Not financial advice
Updated
Taiga Finance is software that organizes your own financial data and runs arithmetic on it. It describes; it does not advise. This page covers the Taiga Finance app and websites and everything published on them, such as the help center, the calculators, and the demo (together, the “Services”). Taiga Finance LLC (“we,” “us”) operates the Services.
Information, not advice
Everything the Services show is information and education. It is not investment, financial-planning, tax, legal, accounting, insurance, or credit advice. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or other asset, to borrow, to pay down a debt, or to follow any strategy, and nothing on the Services is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy a security.
Taiga Finance works from the data you connect or enter. It does not know your full circumstances, and nothing it shows is tailored to them. Decisions about your money, and their consequences, are yours.
What Taiga Finance is not
Taiga Finance is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, tax preparer, accountant, attorney, bank, lender, credit counselor, or consumer reporting agency. Using the Services does not create an advisory, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and us, and the Services are not a substitute for a licensed professional who knows your situation.
Taiga Finance does not hold, move, or invest money, and it cannot place trades or make payments on your behalf.
Projections, scenarios, and calculators
Projections, scenarios, simulations, calculator results, and any other number about the future are hypothetical illustrations. They are computed from the inputs you provide and from assumptions that you can see. They are not predictions, they do not reflect actual investment results, and they are not guarantees of any outcome.
Actual results will differ, possibly by a large amount. Past performance does not guarantee future results. A Monte Carlo success rate describes how often a model’s simulated paths turned out a certain way under its assumptions; it is not the probability of any real outcome.
Every model leaves things out. Results depend on what you enter, and an incorrect input produces an incorrect result.
Tax figures
Tax figures that Taiga Finance computes are simplified estimates. They leave out rules that may apply to you. Tax law changes, and an estimate may not reflect the rules for the year that matters to you.
Tax figures from Taiga Finance are not tax advice, not a tax return, and not a basis for filing one.
Equity compensation
Equity values rely on figures you enter: grant terms, strike prices, fair-market values such as a 409A valuation, and any exit price you choose. A 409A valuation is not a sale price. Shares in a private company may have no market, may be subject to transfer restrictions, and may never be sold at the value shown — or at all.
Account data and valuations
Balances, transactions, holdings, and prices come from the financial institutions you connect (through third-party connection providers), from files you import, and from what you enter. Taiga Finance does not verify this data and cannot guarantee that it is complete, accurate, or current. Connections can lag, fail, or return errors; institutions can report data incorrectly; and a holding’s price is only as current as the source that reported it. Your institution’s own statements are the authoritative record.
Automated results, such as categories, merchant names, recurring-payment detection, and statement import, can be wrong.
A property value drawn from a regional house-price index is a market-wide estimate. It is not an appraisal and not a valuation of a specific property. A property value you enter is your own estimate.
AI features
Output from the Taiga Finance assistant and other AI-assisted features is generated automatically, is not reviewed by a person before you see it, and can be incomplete or wrong — including about your own numbers. The assistant is designed to describe your data and to decline requests for predictions or recommendations; a reply that reads like advice is still not advice.
Content on this site
Pages on this site and in the help center, such as glossary entries, FAQs, and comparison pages, are general information written at a point in time. They may be incomplete or out of date: financial rules, tax limits, and product features change. Features described on this site may change, and some may not yet be available to you.
Screenshots and examples use fictional sample data.
Comparison pages describe other products from public information as of the date stated on each page. Names of other companies and products are trademarks of their respective owners. Taiga Finance is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them.

No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the Services and all information on them are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. The Terms set out the warranties we disclaim and the limits of our liability in full. If this page and the Terms conflict, the Terms control.
